A youngish persons armchair ramblings concerning the state of our society. I say things you will not hear in the mainstream and my views are often controversial.
Here is a fantastic news review of some of this years top news stories from one of the last, great investigative Journalists, John Pilger. In this video they examine some of the top news stories of 2018 from an alternative (and much more honest) perspective than you will ever get from the MSM.
Enjoy and I wish you all a very happy new year. I'm hoping to be back writing more blogs in the new year. Hopefully, you will join me and enjoy my take on the coming political and cultural events in 2019.
This shocking video has surfaced today of Amber Rudd (it would appear) passing a note to the chair of an election debate in her local town, when one of her rivals starts telling the truth about her dealings with banks and their involvement with selling arms to Saudi Arabia. The chair then proceeds to stop this gentleman from speaking. In effect censoring him and stopping him from speaking truth to the people listening. That can only ever be wrong and this information, this video of shocking censorship needs to be seen and spread as widely as possible.
I would advise everyone to read this information and watch the accompanying youtube video.
Given what happened last night in London, the only way to combat this terror is to shine the light of open transparency onto our own governments shady dealings. It's all very well for the PM to stand outside Downing Street and spout of strong rhetoric, but the truth is that our dealings with tyrannical and totalitarian regimes and the role that they play in bringing terror back to our shores needs to be fully understood and made widely known to the British people.
Again, I would strongly advise readers to look at the information provided in this link. Also, possibly of interest, this video has been tweeted over 100 times to leading journalists in the MSM and so far the response has been absolute silence, It would seem non of the MSM outlets have any desire to show this video.
Can you imagine how quickly it would have been picked up and shown around had it been Corbyn or a senior Labour figure doing this. Hypocrisy of the highest order.
I know I haven't written anything in a long time, but I've
been so angered and engaged by this election that I felt it was time I got back
on the horse.
Right up I'm going to nail my colours to the mast. I'm
voting Labour. I know that from my previous posts that will shock and surprise
many of you. However, let me give you the reasons why.
First, I like and trust Corbyn. He is a man with integrity
and has genuine, traditional Labour values and principles at his heart. He's
not a Blair clone, who was little more than a 'red Tory.' If Thatcher can
genuinely and honestly describe Blair as 'my greatest achievement in politics'
that should tell you all you need to know about 'Teflon Tony' That being said,
I don't trust May as far as I could throw her. My reasons for this are as
follows:
Regards her promise to clamp down on tax avoidance and the
like; I recently discovered that her husband is senior exec of a $1.4 tn investment
firm who profit from tax avoiding companies and were heavily highlighted in the
Panama Papers scandal. The one where Cameron tried to tell us all it was 'a
private matter.' Therefore, how can we trust her to make multi-national
companies pay their fair share of tax and clamp down on tax avoidance, when her
own husband works for a company that makes money from helping firms avoid
paying tax?
Regards her plans for education, I have watched over the last 6 years as school
budgets have been cut to ribbons and schools have had to let go of vital
support staff and cut down to the bone special need provision. This has meant
larger class sizes, less and less resources, fewer qualified staff. Many
schools often now have to use HLTA (Higher level teaching assistants) to fill
in for proper, fully qualified teachers. It has also meant that the needs of
children with learning difficulties are not being met and so they are left to
fail without adequate support. It is absolutely disgusting. I myself, lost my
own job as a 1-1 tutor even though I got fantastic results and was a huge help
to the students I worked with. Simply because of cuts.
Regards her condemnation of extremists and terrorists. How
can we trust this woman, who cries for victims of the attack in Manchester,
when she is selling £billions worth of bombs and weapons to Saudi Arabia? Those
same bombs have been shown to be used in Yemen to bomb and kill innocent women
and children. Furthermore, Saudi sell
these weapons on to rebel groups such as ISIS et al who amazingly are wedded to
a version of wahhabisim that is promoted and encouraged by Saudi Arabia In addition, Britain helped to overthrow
Ghadafi and de-stabalise Libya in the much lauded 'Arab Spring' and is now
supporting and funding Syrian rebels against Assad. These rebels are largely
made up of Al Nusra, who, for those who don't know, are strongly affiliated and
linked to Al Qaeda. Honestly, you couldn't make this shit up. Not to mention that as Home Secretary, she cut funding to police and other essential emergency service. She was warned a couple of years ago by the police federation that if she cut police numbers we would be vulnerable to attack. She, in turn, accused the police federation of scaremongering and said that the cuts wouldn't change anything. Hmmm, looks like she was proven wrong.
Finally, in terms of the NHS and the increased privatisation. How can we trust
a government to fully fund, staff and resource the NHS when a large number of
cabinet MPs (the very core of the government) have shares and vested interests
in private medical companies, who are being given very lucrative contracts to
run services and hospitals around the country? There is a very insightful video
doing the rounds from Youtube all about
the Conservatives plans to implement the
proposals of the Naylor Report (I'll provide a link).
When you actually understand what is covered and recommended in that report
(which I have checked for myself and everything the guy says in the video is
factual and accurate) it is absolutely terrifying and would basically crush the
NHS for good. I make no wonder May and her government endorse it. I would urge
each and every reader to take the time to watch the 11 minute Youtube video and
consider the damage that this report will do to our NHS.
For these reason, I have decided to support Corbyn. I know
Labour aren't perfect and what they propose may very well come to nothing. I'm not stupid or naive enough to think they
can provide a magic bullet of solutions. I know they can't, it would be
impossible. That being said, I'm will to take a chance on hope as opposed to
the hell that will definitely be the reality under a Conservative/May
government.
Basically, this gentleman sums up my thoughts on a fantastic result. I was going to write about this, but he has done my job for me. OK, so maybe that's a bit lazy, but if you can't say it any better, why not let someone else say it for you?
For those of you who haven't seen this and are unsure about which way to vote tomorrow. I politely ask that you watch this documentary before you vote.
As the
vitally important EU referendum approaches (I've already filled in my postal
ballot with a X next to Leave) mud is being slung by both camps. However, there
are a couple of points that I have been getting incredibly annoyed with.
First, I
have several friends who work or worked for the NHS and all will vote Remain.
This to me is total crazy. If we vote to remain later this month, the EU WILL
sledgehammer TTIP through and that WILL kill off the NHS for good, as it will
be swamped with American private healthcare insurance and business. We won't be able to
stop that and I would argue within 5-10 years, we will have insurance based
healthcare - shudder!
The fact
remains that if we vote leave, we give ourselves a VERY SMALL chance of being
able to fend off TTIP, if enough of this apathetic country finally wakes the
hell up and gets off its backside and forces the Government to back down. Now,
I realise that is asking a HUGE amount given our stiff-upper-lip, don't rock
the boat mentality and our astounding lack or willingness to take direct action
against our governments who continually shit all over us. However, I'm hopeful
that for something like this, our country might finally get off its bum and
fight back. We have done recently with the suggested and vile attempted attacks
on disabled people and their benefits. The government were forced to back down
over that issue. Although, if it came to
having to fight both our own government and the faceless, totalitarian behemoth
that is the EU, I just know this pathetic country wouldn't have the stomach for
it. It is one thing to stand up to your own government; it is asking WAY too
much to expect us to fight two HUGE battles. I hope people can understand what
I'm saying here.
This is why
I'm totally infuriated with my friends misguided belief that it is better to
remain within the corrupt, totalitarian EU, than stand on our own to protect
our amazing NHS. It makes me want to scream. They rightly love the NHS, get so
angry with Jeremy Hunt for all the crap he's caused, but yet they still will
vote to remain. I just don't understand their thinking. I make no wonder Hunt
is telling us to remain, because then when the EU does force through TTIP and destroys
the NHS, he'll be able to sit back and say there was nothing he could do. It
was an EU order that we let in all these American private healthcare companies
to take over the NHS. It's win/win for him.
The second
thing that has annoyed me is the attacks on Farage for saying that if we remain
in the EU and are forced to take in a load of migrants from Syria, Algeria et
al; there is a strong chance that we COULD (and that was the wording he used) see
the same kind of sex attacks as we saw in Cologne. He is absolutely right to
point that out. He's NOT saying it WILL happen, but that it could happen, there
is a huge difference. That is not scaremongering, that is simply being honest.
I'm not saying for one moment that all male migrants are vile sex attackers (of
course they're not) I'm sure most of them are kind, gentle and decent people,
who only want a better life. However, the fact remains that if (and it is a big
if) we do have to take in migrants from that part of Africa/Middle East we ARE
taking in people whose attitude towards women (though again let me stress that
this not the case for all the people from those places) is, in large part, vastly
inferior to our own. Therefore, it COULD lead to the same kind of issues that
other European countries have increasingly experienced since the migrant crisis
started.
I've voted
to Leave and I hope Britain sees the light and does the same. I really do.
The
disgusting, fabricated anti-Semitism row that has engulfed Labour over the past
week is, I fear, the start of a putsch against Jeremy Corbyn. I'm not going to
get into the details of the row, except to say that I broadly agree with Ken
Livingstone and the other Labour MP about the evils of the Israeli, Zionist
elite. Now, as my readers will know, I'm
no supporter of Labour, but I do feel that JC is for all his faults - and there are many - an
honest and decent politician, at least as honest and decent as a politician can
be. I think he is principled and believes in traditional Labour ideas. That is
probably why the many Blairites who still haunt the party can't stand him and
want him out. They are arguably still reeling from the fact that one of their
own didn't get the leaders job last year and the pesky grass-roots supporters
used democracy to put someone in power that they wanted. Imagine that, the
Labour party, the supposed party of the working man allowing its members to
have a direct say in the running of the party. Good grief! Arguably, that was
what really pissed the Blairites off. That was the whole problem with Blairism;
it was complete style over substance and was about as far removed from
democracy as you could feasibly get without going over the threshold into
complete totalitarianism. Although some, like me, would argue that it was
completely totalitarian in nature and ideology. But I digress, slightly.
Anyway, this
manufactured row is nothing but the warning shots being fired at JC. It is the
first salvo in the battle to have him removed. I would bet good money that if
Labour don't make significant gains in this month's local elections, the
Blairities will use that as the excuse they need to oust their leader. Now,
historically, Labour are far more tolerant of their leader than say the Tories,
who can organise a coup very easily if need be. However, after the disaster
that was Milliband and now Corbyn, the disgruntled factions within the party
will be looking for any and every excuse they can find to kick him out. In this
respect I've always thought of JC as a bit like Ned Stark from GOT. Honest,
principled and loyal, but rather weak and out of his depth and totally
unprepared to play the Game of Westminster. Granted he was a very militant
back-bencher and often voted against his own party, specifically under Blair,
but that was ill training for the role he now finds himself in. Much as Ned did
himself when he moved to Kings Landing. I just wonder which member of the
Labour party will take the role of Joffrey and order Corbyn's head removed.
Tragically, there are far too many traitors to choose from.
